OCEANSIDE, CA – As kids anticipate Halloween, costumes and trick-or-treating, it’s important to ensure they’re safe and secure on the night of spooky thrills. Checking to see how safe are your Oceanside neighborhoods is one way to start.
The California Department of Justice has a Megan’s Law web site, which provides information on registered sex offenders, pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so the public can better protect themselves and their families.
According to the website, there are 170 registered sex offenders in Oceanside, two of whom are in violation. Sixty of the 170 do not have current addresses, including 21 listed as transients and four as incarcerated.
For more details and to check your ZIP code or city for registered sex offenders, visit the Megan’s Law website.
